11:51 am - maybe a stupid question, but...
just a quicky here to test everyones knowledge, since mine is obviously not up to par on the matter...

i know that in the mastery of servitude symbol we have the star & cresent, the star of david, the eight fold path of the buddah, the cross, the om symbol, and then i'm stumped...
i asked my mom about this and she wasn't entirely sure either.
the symbol at the top...
what exactly is it and what exactly does it represent?

thank you very much.

12:23 pm - hello everyone:
hello Baba community.
i am writting in hopes of doing a little networking today. so, if this doesn't apply to you per se, but possibly someone else you may know in the community, by all means please send it forth.
my name is tara. i'm 21. i'm desperatly trying to get to India as soon as possible.
over the past six months i've had an incredibly hard time with anything that doesn't have to do with India or Baba. this is very new to me (not Baba, but the urgency). i've come to complete awareness that it is TIME FOR ME TO GO.
However. i'm slowly working on getting the money to go, which is my biggest holdback right now. i work fulltime, but i'm also currently in training for a new career, have an apartment and bills, old debt, and unfortunatly, can't really ask for any financial assistance from the 'rents.
and thats ok, but i'm first wondering if anyone here knows of anyway that i might be able to get the ticket for a little cheaper. i checked on a few online flight searches, but if theres anything else i'm missing, please lemme know!
the other question, and this is the real one: is there anyone who is planning on going in approx. 4-6 months or so? or anywhere in that time vicinity?
i have a very dear friend who has expressed a great interest in joining me, who is learning about Baba and anxious to find his own with Baba soon.
but neither of us have ever been, and i do not want to make my first time journey there without the company of someone a bit more familiar with it than i.
so if anyone is going, knows of anyone going, or has any contact info or absolutly anything at all for me, please let me know and it is so greatly appreciated.
you can either write back here or my email is fluffybuttt@beer.com and we can go from there.
i don't get to check email often so if an immediate response doesn't take place, worry not, i shall respond!!!
thank you all SO MUCH. JAI BABA

Oooh I totally forgot to post here! Over Christmas my whole family (the Files) and I went to India and had a totally awesome time.

You can see highlights from my "How I spent my Christmas vacation" photos in my personal journal, though those are definitely the more touristy and less Baba-oriented photos. You can see though some great BL's that were all there and some shots of the Pilgrim Center and surrounding areas. For more Baba-centric stuff, including Meherazade (sp?) and some Mandali, check out the full gallery here, graciously hosted by Matt Talbot, whose sister Katie was there at the same time we were. Some of the pictures are hers. My family left before Amartithi but there's some photos of that just added too it seems...

Okeydokey, enjoy!

05:51 pm - Stress and your health

I have always been of the opinion that the phrase "Don't worry, be happy" is not just good spiritual advice but has real practical health value. First item: this book, recently published in Germany. Although coached in the weird New Age-y style that likes to use terms and just assume that everybody knows what they mean, in this case "life energy", the book's main point is that people who overdo exercise may be shortening their own lives. In other words, people who take it easy live longer. Second item: in a recent issue of TIME magazine, a cover article (which I am unfortuanately unable to link to) described the way in which a positive outlook can extend your lifespan. Elsewhere in the same issue is an article about how human are genetically predisposed toward happiness. To me all of these stories, and a plethora of others that I don't have links to off the top of my head, are part of the same concept: people are much better off if they can just learn to relax and not take things so seriously.

What are the leading causes of death in the United States? According to the CDC, number one is heart attacks and number three is strokes. Both of these conditions include stress as a major contributing factor, along with of course genetic predisposition, diet, etc. By the same token, almost all major mental disorders other than those present from birth can be triggered or at least aggravated by stressful experiences. This includes important characteristic disorders of our society such as schizophrenia and anorexia nervosa. In a more general sense, the immune system that protects our bodies from the enormous number of pathogens which constantly surround us loses its effectiveness when we are stressed out. Stress, including emotional stess, diverts our body's finite supply of chemical energy to the autonomic responses that are the body's automatic reaction to being in a stressful situation so that there is less to power things like routine immune and maintainance activities.

This is not to say that failing to worry is absolutely the most safe thing. Some basic precautions are a necessary response to the complexities of our society: if you take things so easy that you have unprotected sex with everyone who is willing eventually you will contract a fatal disease. But what I am saying is that a basic amount of self control, an understanding that not everything is a big deal, an ability to look on the bright side most of the time, and an overall level of coolness are the best way to make your life better in a thousand tiny ways. This is not just about health. Its about relationships, school, work, family, and life in general.

I really ought to start keeping track of these articles better so I can fill my commentary with useful links.

11:51 am - Namaste' from Namasteezy Music

We are looking for correspondents, people to review music, and journalistic contributions and/or feedback or support or simply put... "love of every kind" to help get our efforts off the ground. Our efforts are to help these independent artists on the ground and under it, we seek to serve these artists and build on interdependent relationships.......

Please look into this process and join our journey of self and other revelation!
Our new Website is here:

Our mission was to release three albums for 2K5 and one featured Grand Puba from the Brand Nubians! And well, now its the eternal now and we have stepped out of time...

Yeah, this is not your average image grasping bboy.....

We use language to create, and this country has so many people brainwashed and addicted to sleeping, ya'll couldn't see Namasteezy if you wanted to. Why? Because it can't be done with the mind, you must use your heart. Because we are not a corporation, we do things in ways many people just have no capacity to understand, even the artists themselves have a tough time with us sometimes. But life is to be loved and lived. So think about love, then live! And we at Namasteezy are doing our best to live fully and truly.

Right now we are listening to a special Yogi, his name is Arjun from the Gaurdians. HE has a double CD of reggae music titled "Astralogy"...... He is mos def and artist of the cycle...

Please share some ideas and feedback..... Can you see how we have so many interesting artists in view? Do you see how we have been hard at work discovering these artists? Have you ever heard of them? Let us know! Please visit our new messageboard:

Jai Baba, We love this chance to win your hearts....
To better get aqainted, we are inviting people to join our MYspace too

Lets bring some music into view........

I.T. (Infinito 2017 & Thaione):
- “Low Income Housing” is picked as best release in 2004 by http://www.hiphopheads.tk
- “Low Income Housing” in stores now!!!

Since 911, this country has been conditioned into a fearstate.... Hip Hop community has become very image driven and as people we have only become more and more divided.... Yet, independent artists depend on word of mouth! But the corporations set such a high standard of image, it become hard to present anything to anyone...... Yet, hip hop keeps manifesting, people are non-stop, and we keep discovering ourselves....

Sometimes the underdog win ones and this time its the Infinito team... When you pick up a cd with a song titled MK ULTRA, you know they know whats up... I have to give these guys an A + in activism and right views.....

If you seek more information on the truth, please listen to our online radio interviews and real activism: It will help you understand Namasteezy, And our language and our way of happening...

Twin Towers - Built for Demolition PART 1

Special Guest: Christopher A. Brown http://algoxy.com/psych/9-11scenario.html

We present images and analysis of the collapse of the WTC Twin Towers,
showing they were erected with in-built explosives which were used to
demolish them on 9/11. In this two hour BFN special report, our guest
Christopher Brown presents the case for demo build, explains the exact
techniques used to bring down the Twin Towers and shows how this is
fully consistent with what we all saw in their extraordinary collapse.

12:47 am - Some stimulation perhaps
I suspect I ought to update something here considering that:

a) It is kind of my community (ie I started it) and it has been slow for a bit.
b) I just got home from doing the New Year's Eve festivities at the Center in Myrtle Beach.

The experience of being surrounded by Baba Lovers always reinforces my faith, and languishing in isolation weakens my faith. I recognize that this is a fault within myself: in a truly faithful person, faith should not be affected by external circumstances. I have been led to believe, either by some sort of divine communication or by my internal intuition (which may be the same thing) that it is this reliance on the community for my faith that is interfering with any spiritual progress. Only when this is overcome can I move on. Of course what this entails I am not sure, but I am afraid it will require me somehow being cut off from all my Baba-connected friends. I fear this and it makes me cling tighter, which is obviously why those bindings need to be cut in the first place. I suppose I will see where that takes me.

At any rate, New Year's was joyous as usual. The Center was teeming with youth and energy and love. I met many wonderful new people and strengthened connections to older ones. Also, I had an odd new experience: whereas previously I had never felt anything in particular in connection with pictures of Baba, this time I found myself having difficulty looking him in the face. I could feel the power moving behind them. It was odd. My old claims to be the world's most logical person seem to falling to shreds. If there is something above logic I will be happy to get to know it.

Don't worry my loves, be happy.
